Milwaukee Film Festival Brings Hollywood Closer to Home

posted by Ken WSF President on September 7, 2010

buriedbluevalentineCould Milwaukee be the next Hollywood? Whether or not that’s the case, The Milwaukee Film Festival will bring with it tons of new talent to Wisconsin.

The Milwaukee Film Festival plans to feature 173 films this year. The festival is eleven days long. It gets underway September 23. Some of the films this year include “Blue Valentine” starring Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling, “Buried” with Ryan Reynolds and “A Somewhat Gentle Man” with Stellan Skarsgard.

Organizers hope the stars and the festival will keep Milwaukee in the national eye when it comes to the arts.
